Christmas rush...
Sorry its been a while!Things have, as normal, been totally manic.
We finished calving in September with only one loss which is pretty good but very upsetting all the same. Its been relatively dry so the cattle have all been out running round the fields, that was until late November when the heavens opened and haven't seemed to shut..most of the herd are now in so this is when the real work starts. Mucking out twice a week, sometimes by hand certainly keeps me fit!
We were on UKTV food a couple of weeks ago with Gary Rhodes and Anthony Worrell Thompson, we came second in our region, in the local food hero's competition which was an excellent result, next year a first is on the cards!
We have been featured in several glossy mags so the orders are flooding in which is just fantastic. Please get your Christmas orders in asap, I wouldn't want anyone going without our amazing beef.
We will have some White Park beef ready late January so get your order in quickly.

The herd are all very well, Gloria the queen of the herd is as bossy as ever and now everyone is inside she seems more and more overbearing! The Dexter's are still out and enjoying the weather, Peterley Drizzle keeps escaping and takes herself on many outings, sometimes more than once a day. All 4 of the baby Dexter's have such wonderful personalities, Drizzle is extremely independent and authoritarian, Rain is a bit shy and stays with her mother all the time, Cloud is away with the fairies! She loves running around at full speed, crashing into the other calves. Rainbow is an old soul...very pretty little thing, she seems to spend a lot of time contemplating life with the older girls. Stone and Tom, the adopted limousins, now honorary Dexter's are well and truly one of the gang, Stone had an exceptionally bad start in life and it was touch and go, but he pulled through and you now wouldn't even know, he is such a lovely little thing, even his modelling career has taken off well, he features on this years Christmas cards.
I can tell already that this December is going to be unbelievably busy, there seem to be a million things going on, the day needs to be 72 hours long!
I promise to check in very soon.
P.S. check out www.vickery.tv and get hold of Phil's new book 'Britain'....its absolutely breathtaking, well worth it and you can even get it personalised!
